E-bike chains experience more than 2X the internal pressures of traditional bike chain, and are capable of wearing out expensive drivetrain components like chains, chainrings, and cassettes at more than twice the rate of traditional bicycles. Wolf Tooth WT-G Precision Bike Grease is a waterproof, synthetic oil-based lubricant for cycling-specific applications. It reduces friction on moving components while protecting them from contaminants, water, and corrosion. WT-G also prevents non-moving components from seizing together due to corrosion or galling. PRO X Freehub Grease, using our MRCC Micro Resistant Complex Compounds, is specifically designed for all freehubs that require a very lightweight grease. Non-pawl freehubs recommend a grease to stay in the mechanisms moving parts. Oils generally are to thin and will move away from moving parts leaving them exposed to wear and malfunction due to lack of lubrication.
