This bike is exactly what I needed. I mainly ride bike paths. Half of them are finely crushed gravel the other half are paved. Originally I purchased an Escape 2 but that bike did not work to well for me. With the escape 2 I was feeling all bumps and vibrations through the handlebars. I took this bike back and was able to get the Roam 3 that had the front shocks. This worked out really well for me. Its a lot smoother ride especially on the crushed gravel paths. I know some people think you don't need the front shock on this bike but it works really well for me.
Comments:
I purchased this bike to commute 13 miles a day to work plus 20 miles on Saturdays with a cycling group. So far I've been very pleased with the performance. It shifts very fast and smoothly. It's very easy to pedal especially with the road tires. The disc brakes make stopping very easy and effectively, especially on fast down hill speeds. If you want a bike that won't break the bank yet is built very well with quality parts, I would highly recomend this bike.
